There was more than sweet treats and tea on offer for Inverell’s Meals on Wheels Cuppa for a Cause Campaign, with BEST Community Shed eager to provide some icing on the cake with a $500 donation.

“We see the wonderful work this local charity does, and knowing they are primarily run on volunteers, like us here at the Shed, we are very proud to be able to make this donation,” said Robyn Kenny from BEST Community Shed.

"This donation will go towards providing 50 meals to Inverell community members who are financially disadvantaged and will mean more people can get some assistance."

Inverell Meals on Wheels manager Beck Brennan said the donation was a huge benefit to the program.

“We are very lucky in Inverell, we have such a caring community and when times are as tough as they are, funds are short. This donation will help so many people needing an extra little support and don’t have the funds to do it.”
